지난 3월 23일 30명의 어린이와 10여명의 학부모님이 함께 Smithonian American Art Museum에서
열리는 video artist 백남준 특별전시회를 관람하고 왔습니다. 일부는 자동차편으로, 일부는 지하철편으로
미술관에 가서 한국이 낳은 세계적인 예술가 백남준의 독창적이고 창의적인 새로운 video art를 보고
안내자들에게 질문도 하여보았습니다. 이날 자녀들과 함께 참가하여 Field Trip을 의미있고 교육적이고
행복한 경험으로 만들어주신 학부모님께 감사드립니다.
다음은 이날 안내자 (docent)로 우리 학교 어린이 2개그룹을 안내해준 한분인 Mrs. Lee Lawch씨가 보내온 이메일과 회신입니다.

Hello Dr Choi-
It was a pleasure meeting with all of you today. What a truely lovely group of kids! 
I enjoyed their insightful and honest comments about the art. 
Feel free to request me  Lauren as your docents in the future! 
You can do that by filling in my name in the special information box on the CILC web site-
or you may ask Colleen Brown if we are available.    You can also use any of our other docents,
as we all have our own spin on the art.  I hope to meet with you again in the future!

Dear Ms.Lawch,
First of all, on behalf of the students and parents of the St. Andrew Kim Korean School, I would like
to express sincere thanks to you and Ms. Kotkin for the excellent guide to the Nam June Paik special exhibition this afternoon.
We also thank Ms. Colleen Brown who came out to assist us. All of us truly enjoyed the field trip to the Museum.
For many kids, it was their first visit to the Museum and I think they learned not only about Nam June Paik’s artwork but also
about how to behave in a public place like the American Art Museum. Without your patient and excellent guidance, our visit to the
Museum might have not been as exciting and educational as it was today. We truly appreciate you all and the Museum.
Our parents were given the feedback forms and hopefully they will return them to the museum with their happy experiences today.

Thank you again for the assistance you and Ms. Lauren Kotkin had provided today.
